I honestly believe that Scott Milano is one of the most promising young creative talents I have met since arriving in Tokyo. I’ve known and worked with Scott, as both a client and a vendor, for five years. He is confident, thoughtful, creative and wise beyond his years. He’s not afraid to work hard and long, but more importantly, he enjoys his work. More often than not, his enthusiasm rubs off on those around him. It would be a pleasure to have Scott as an employee or a partner.

Let me get the unabashed testimonial out of the way first: If you want to do your business any good, either work with Scott or work for Scott. You can’t go wrong.

I say this with some authority, as I’ve both worked with Scott and for him - though I’ve never had the pleasure of hiring him. He’s a talented copywriter with a natural knack for wordplay and a feel for sleek structure. He’s also a capable hands-on creative project manager who leads by example, mentoring inexperienced team members and eliciting superb results.
Given the chance I’d gladly work with Scott again. And I’d hire him without hesitation.

Scott Milano was one of the most capable and proactive creative people I have ever worked with. I initially hired him as a creator/copywriter to work on the verbal identity team at Interbrand Japan. Scott soon distinguished himself as one of the most talented people in the office. His natural organizational ability, depth of focus and ability to quickly formulate creative directions marked him as a person with innate leadership ability. Within a year, Scott had been promoted to manager of the verbal identity team and led them through a period of incredible productivity. In addition to directing creative development, making Japanese/English presentations, and tracking business performance, Scott personally created brand names, slogans and messages that had a significant impact on the marketplace. What I personally appreciated most about Scott was the fact that he was a self-starter who needed minimal direction. A suggestion here, or a few words there was all it took to set Scott in motion. In many cases, he had already anticipated my requests, and had the information I needed right at hand. To his credit, Scott is a straight talker who is not afraid to disagree with his boss or senior management if he holds a differing point of view. He frequently brought me around to his point of view in a logical, persuasive manner. I considered Scott a peer not a subordinate and was proud to work with him.
